This lastest Development is a fantastic result for our local community and truly demonstrated the age old addage "United we stand, Divided we fall".
I am happy to report as I understand in total thirty (30) residents including myself objected to the local pub "The Winston" in their quest to extend the operation hours. The community can be proud of the fact they have stood up and made their voices heard. I am proud of the fact that given my experience working with addictions over the past 10 years, we have done our part in preventing further addiction issues, further alcohol related violence and antisocial behaviours as a result of intoxication. While it was a great disapointment to hear of the Land Environmnet Court not protecting the community and supporting the community view , we can all take solice in the fact our voice had not been unheard and finally we WON!. To all the community members that stood together side by side, I thank you.
